Is it hard to learn?
The simple answer? No. Wing foiling is one of the easiest and safest water sports out there and our courses will help you overcome any initial challenge.
How much wind do I need to wingfoil?
Experienced foilers with a pair of wings at hand can enjoy any wind from 0 at 40 knots! If you want to go out in relaxation, 2-3 knots are enough, to fly with the foil you need at least 8 knots, a wing of adequate size for your weight and a foil of at least 2000cm2.
How do I fly with Foil?
For anyone coming from a kitefoil or windfoil background it's simple, you just need to learn the correct position on the board so you're ready to take to the skies. For beginners the passage must be gradual: first you start from the ground in order to understand the direction of the wind and the position of the wing, then you try it in the water with large volume boards in order to learn how to go and come back and then when you has mastery of the movements you switch to boards with foil. Our courses are designed to follow you throughout the learning process.
Is it necessary to be an athlete to learn?
An athlete's physical preparation is not necessary, just be in good health. If you already have experience with windsurfing, kite or surfing it is faster to learn, if you have no experience with wind sports this is also not a problem. Is a course necessary to learn to go Wingfoil?
If you are predisposed and have a good balance you can try to learn by yourself. We advise those who are undecided to take at least one trial lesson.
