Maccagno (VA) Giona Park
Maccagno is one of the northernmost villages on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore, it is close to the Swiss border. From the coast of Maccagno you can admire splendid landscapes made up of hills, the islands with the Castelli di Cannero, which are located opposite on the Piedmontese side of the lake.
The beach
The beach is made up of small stones and a well-kept grassy plain, the place offers various opportunities for recreation, in fact, near the beach you can find basketball and beach volleyball courts, a skate park and a playground for the little ones.
The Parco Giona beach in Maccagno is a beach suitable for families with children: here you can also spend the day for a picnic, on the shores of the lake in the shade of the numerous plants present.

The Wind of Lago Maggiore
In Maccagno the wind never fails! there is the Tramontana a thermal wind from the North ideal for more advanced riders in the early morning, becomes lighter in the late morning for beginners who are just starting out and want to learn to ride Wiinfoil. In the afternoon from March to October the Winter blows a thermal wind coming from the South with an intensity from 9 to 15 knots ideal for students who want to try to fly and learn the maneuvers with the Wingfoil and test their level of learning in more demanding but on a flat water level ideal for safe navigation. In all our courses you will be accompanied by a support boat to follow you at every stage of the course sessions.
